Ralph Lauren has elected to drop the Polo in their name as they extend the brand to new global heights. The origins of the name stem from 1972 when they introduced their ever popular “Polo” shirt with the three button collar. Ralph Lauren is one of the few clothing companies that have seen a surge in sales, and are doing exceptionally well on Wall Street.

‘BRIAN MCKNIGHT’ WORKERS HAVEN’T
BEEN PAID
A contingent of disgruntled
employees has emerged at “The Brian
McKnight Show.” It’s being reported
that more than 20 workers have
filed non-payment complaints
against the McKnight show to the
California Labor Board totaling $86,
300. Reps for the show say the
workers will be paid, but there
“was mismanagement in the beginning
and since then we have gotten new
investors and the show is
continuing.”
Curtis Jackson known as 50 Cent will present his first perfume created in cooperation with Lighthouse Beauty this autumn. Name of the perfume is Power by 50 Cent, and Curtis himself participated in design. The fragrance will arrive in exclusive sale at Macy’s in autumn 2009.
The composition starts with accords of lemon leaves, black pepper and artemisia, a heart of dark wood, coriander and nutmeg and base notes full of patchouli, musk and oak moss. The flacon was created of dark, blurry glass, with a silver, metal stopper inspired by design of 50 Cent’s favourite watch – Piguet.
