Kimbella Talks Fight w/ Chrissy!

Kimbella, one of the stars of VH1’s ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ is back in headlines, this time for speaking on her infamous fight with Chrissy Lampkin.

The model/girlfriend of rapper Julez Santana, was shown in a preview for this season physically fighting Lampkin, the fiance of Jim Jones.

According to her however, the incident was unfair because Lampkin caught her off-guard and acted if she was “getting some air” before she attacked her.

She tells The Jasmine Brand,

“That’s exactly what happened and (of course) I’m going to confirm it because I’m going to stand and hold my own…because that’s what people need to understand…I hope it’s shown in the show….that’s what people need to understand. I need to get it across that I’m not a bitch coming out to tell Emily like ‘yo listen, this is what I did, and what!” No, never. I would never be like that to anybody.”

Singer Teairra Mari will appear on “Love & Hip Hop 2,” according to her publicist who is already shopping interviews, but VH1 is keeping her a secret for some reason.  But they have confirmed 2 other new cast members.

We already know this new season kicks off with a bang as Chrissy reportedly beat down newcomer Kimbella (Juelz Santana‘s baby mama twice over), shutting down production for days.  And now we also know there’s another newbie named Yandy Smith who is Jim Jones’ manager..

When last season left off, Emily was moving on from Fabolous (even though they’re back together now), Olivia was still pushing for a new album, Somaya was still beefing with the other girls and chasing the dreams of her rap career and moving out her producer’s attic, and Chrissy was still waiting on a real answer from Jim Jones to her proposal.

Meagan Good To Replace Stacey Dash On VH1′s Single Ladies?

Word on the street is Meagan Good has been offered to replace Stacey Dash. It has been a pretty good year for Meagan Good who had two movies released this year, “Jumping The Broom” and “35 And Ticking” and a reoccurring role on  BET’s hit series “The Game.” The hasn’t been any official word from VH1 on who will replace Stacey Dash as of yet.

Last week Stacey Dash released a statement confirming her departure from the show. There were rumors of Stacey Dash being fired due to diva antics. In her statement she revealed the reason was due to the show being filmed in Atlanta. Stacey would rather be in LA with her kids.

Stacey Dash Leaves “Single Ladies”

Stacey Dash has confirmed that she will not be returning for a second season of VH1 and Queen Latifah’s  “Single Ladies.”

The actress, 40, confirmed the news to Global Grind after speculation swirled for weeks that would not be renewing her contract.

She tells GG,

“I truly enjoyed playing Val on ‘Single Ladies’, but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the ‘Single Ladies’ shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one.”

VH1 has since responded and released a statement of their own saying,

“VH1 respects Stacey’s decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making ‘Single Ladies’ a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans.”

“Single Ladies” marks VH1’s first foray into the hour-long scripted series genre.

It is the brain child of the network and Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Entertainment.

No word on who may be replacing Dash.

Welcome Home: T.I. Released From Prison!

T.I. was released from prison today into a half-way house after serving time for violating his probation. He was greeted with a warm response by tons of fans holding signs and photos. “The storm is over & da sun back out. IT’S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!! Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!!” said T.I.

Starting in December, VH1, will air ten half-hour episodes that will chronicle Tip’s life as he adjusts to being a free man again.

VH1’s Jeff Olde said in a statement: “Viewers have always connected with TI and we are definitely thrilled to show the next chapter of this incredible artist’s riveting life with this new series. TI is such a multi-talented artist and actor, and though he has had some setbacks, there is no doubt he will use his considerable talents to get back on top of both the music and film business.“

Some new drama is brewing on VH1′s “Basketball Wives” this week, this time between Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams. Evelyn received a phone call from a friend in Cleveland who said Jennifer was on the radio talking negative about her and Chad’s relationship. A preview of Evelyn confronting Jennifer about the interview was shown and things seem to have gotten a bit heated. The interview Evelyn is mad about is from Radio One’s Z107.9 Bijou Star.
