Drake Clears Up 1st. Single Confusion….

http://ytwuniverse.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/drake-51.jpg

Drake has clarified recent reports which suggested his debut album, Thank Me Later, would be kicked-off by a collaboration track with The-Dream called “Shut It Down.”

Still early in the recording process, Drizzy said he is having difficulty with song selection.

“No, it’s not the first single,” Drake said about the Dream record. “It deserves to be a single at some point, but it’s not the first single… I have trouble doing that. I’d say I have about six songs done and to pick from just six is hard for me ’cause I don’t know what else is going to come. With So Far Gone, before ‘Best I Ever Had’ became the single, the entire project was done and it just happened to be the most commercially viable, catchiest song. I like picking my singles like that. Now obviously my management hates that because that doesn’t give them much time to work it. But I’m a big believer that everything should happen organically and if it doesn’t then something’s not right, and I don’t really want to change my formula. Before I start working a single, I need to get about 10, 15, 20 songs done so I can pick from a batch of music as opposed to just committing to something right now.”

Kelly Rowland Loves Being Single & Won’t Settle Down Anytime Soon…

http://allthefestivals.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/kelly_rowland.jpg

Finding happiness that she is currently single, Kelly admits she is in no rush to get married as she believes “everybody’s time is different”.

Being single is the source of Kelly Rowowland’s happiness and she herself has stated that she enjoys dating no one at the moment. “Being single is about celebrating and appreciating your own space that you’re in,” OK! Magazine quotes her as stating “I couldn’t have lived alone before. I always needed someone to share my space but now I like being by myself.”

That’s why she is in no rush to settle down. Speaking of getting married, the 28-year-old singer has no hesitation to share her perspective, stating “Everybody’s time is different.” She goes on elaborating, “I don’t expect to go down the same road as anyone else. I think it’s important not to put ourselves in someone else’s shoes, when they’re in a time in their life that we aren’t.”

“We have to appreciate where we are in our life in order to move on. You have to be happy with you and every decision you make. We can get caught up in what other people expect of us, but it’s important to live in your space and not anyone else’s,” so she adds.

Kelly Rowland is one of the founding members of all-girl group Destiny’s Child. It was reported last month that after leaving her recording company Columbia Records in March this year, she has been working on a new deal with EMI Music. A deal is yet to be sealed between both parties though.
