Cam’ron & Queen Latifah Collaborate On New Film Company!

According to AllHipHop.com, rapper Cam’ron has formed a new joint venture with Queen Latifah and business partner Shakim Compere.

The company named KFU Productions pulls together Jacob York’s Killa Films and Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Films, both of which are teaming up to produce the movie “Percentages” starring Cam’ron himself.

As previously reported, Latifah’s Flavor Unit is also responsible for the VH1 hit “Single Ladies.”

Speaking on the new film, Jacob York released a statement saying,

“Cam did the story, and then we brought in a writer to really tighten the script. The movie was originally supposed to be the follow up to Killa Season, but we decided to make a brand new movie since the script was so good.”

Meagan Good To Replace Stacey Dash On VH1′s Single Ladies?

Word on the street is Meagan Good has been offered to replace Stacey Dash. It has been a pretty good year for Meagan Good who had two movies released this year, “Jumping The Broom” and “35 And Ticking” and a reoccurring role on  BET’s hit series “The Game.” The hasn’t been any official word from VH1 on who will replace Stacey Dash as of yet.

Last week Stacey Dash released a statement confirming her departure from the show. There were rumors of Stacey Dash being fired due to diva antics. In her statement she revealed the reason was due to the show being filmed in Atlanta. Stacey would rather be in LA with her kids.

Stacey Dash Leaves “Single Ladies”

Stacey Dash has confirmed that she will not be returning for a second season of VH1 and Queen Latifah’s  “Single Ladies.”

The actress, 40, confirmed the news to Global Grind after speculation swirled for weeks that would not be renewing her contract.

She tells GG,

“I truly enjoyed playing Val on ‘Single Ladies’, but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the ‘Single Ladies’ shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one.”

VH1 has since responded and released a statement of their own saying,

“VH1 respects Stacey’s decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making ‘Single Ladies’ a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans.”

“Single Ladies” marks VH1’s first foray into the hour-long scripted series genre.

It is the brain child of the network and Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Entertainment.

No word on who may be replacing Dash.

Lisaraye appeared on The Wendy Williams Show this week, promoting her new VH1 scripted show “Single Ladies.” You know Wendy gotta get the scoop so of course she asked about the beef with Stacey Dash. There was word that a cat fight broke out on set between Lisaraye and Stacey Dash a few weeks back. Lisaraye addressed the beef today with Wendy. She stated that there was some words exchanged and the two have moved on and there was never any physical altercation.

VH1 has a new Atlanta based dramedy show called “Single Ladies.” Executive produced by Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Entertainment, the sexy looking hour-long series features Charity Shea, Stacey Dash, and LisaRaye McCoy. “Single Ladies” is VH1’s first foray into scripted programming and it debuts Monday, May 30.
