A judge in Las Vegas Friday gave Floyd Mayweather Jr. until June 1 to turn himself in to serve a 90-day jail sentence for his
guilty plea in a domestic violence case, allowing the boxer to meet contractual obligations for a Cinco de Mayo fight. (Jan. 6)
Mayweather was in court yesterday to turn himself in and had a few supporters on deck including his Money Team co-hort Ray J and Lil Kim.
With millions on the line, Floyd’s team let it be known that his fights bring in millions for the city and the judge was in aggreence as she weighed his contractual obligations.
Still no word on his fight with Pacquiao.
Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather will face $3,000 in fines and could be sentenced to between two days and 18 months in the Clark County jail after pleading Wednesday to one count of battery domestic violence and two harassment charges.
Mayweather, who seems to be a picking boy for frivolous lawsuits, also conceded to a victory over a dispute with his homeowner association’s guard.
Mayweather’s deal also includes him pleading no contest next week to misdemeanor battery and paying a $1,000 fine for poking a 21-year-old homeowner association security guard in the face during a November 2010 argument about parking tickets on vehicles outside the boxer’s home in an exclusive, suburban Las Vegas community.
Lil Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, pleaded guilty to three counts of conspiring to bring drugs into a penal institution. Judge Mike Erwin sentenced him to eight years in prison. Lil Boosie is also charged with first-degree murder in the death of Terry Boyd.
No official word on Gucci’s release…
In September, Gucci Mane was sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to battery, stemming from an incident where the rapper pushed a woman out of a moving car.
According to a tweet by 1017 Brick Squad member Waka Flock Flame, Gucci Mane could very well be a free man right now.
Waka Flocka tweeted on Friday night:
DeKalb County Solicitor-General Sherry Boston said Tuesday that Mane, whose real name is Radric Delantic Davis, pleaded guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct.
A police report said Davis pushed 36-year-old Diana Graham out of his Hummer as it rolled down a suburban Atlanta street on Jan. 28.
State Court Judge Eleanor Ross sentenced the rapper to serve six months in custody followed by several months on probation.
The judge also ordered him to complete 12 weeks of anger management classes; pay $5,091 in restitution to the woman for her medical bills; and pay a $3,000 fine.
The New York Post Reports:
Foxy Brown‘s brother Gavin Marchand is headed to prison after pleading guilty yesterday to a credit card scheme in which he and three associates attempted to use a forged credit card to buy nearly $8,000 of merchandise from a Hermes store on Madison Ave. in New York last year.
Gavin Marchand, 36, pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree identity theft. He’d been busted in Aug. 2010 when he tried to use an obviously bogus MasterCard to buy clothes at the fancy French boutique.
An undercover street crime unit cop was doing surveillance in the store at the time — and lit out after Marchand and three of his buddies when they fled the store.
Cops said the foursome led cops on a 90-mile-an-hour chase before finally pulling over.
Marchand is currently free on bail and is scheduled to turn himself in on September 28th, when he will be be sentenced to two and a year to five years in prison.
Like her hit TV series, the 31-year-old Pearson was caught by a wiretap in a joint federal-state drug probe of an alleged drug gang.
Pearson said she knows everyone in Baltimore. Asked how she’ll avoid falling into the same situation in the future, Pearson said, “I’m moving to L.A.”
Rule, real name Jeffrey Atkins, pled guilty Tuesday to federal tax evasion, a charge that could land him an additional year in jail.
The rapper’s surrender date was pushed to back to this summer to give him ample time to finish his upcoming album and settle his tax issues.
The Associated Press reports that Rule’s plea conditions are met; the government will dismiss two counts against him for unpaid taxes on about $1 million he earned in 2007 and 2008.
He’s scheduled to be sentenced on June 13 on three tax evasion charges and not only faces the additional year in jail but a $100,000 fine on each count.
Rule is currently filming a reality show and finishing his Rennaissance Project album before his court dates.
The 52-year-old ex-football star was arrested in May of 2010 at a hotel and was originally charged with third degree rape, and child endangerment even though he thought the prostitute was 19 years of age.
Barrett admitted the first charge after prosecutors agreed to drop the other two charges in a plea agreement.
Pablo is facing up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced in June.
Last year, a rep for Petey told a story that involved the weapon being removed from a “distressed friend” and then forgotten in his bag. Maybe the travel date caused the grand jury to rule out that story.
D’Angelo, 37, appeared in a Manhattan court on Friday (11Mar11) and entered his plea for the lesser charge of disorderly conduct.
Prosecutors claim the offence is a violation, not a crime, and state that the star has satisfied their conditions, although they have refused to go into detail about the settlement, according to the Associated Press.
