New Study Says Ecstasy May Be Used To Cure Certain Types Of Cancers!

A new study has found that the medications included in Ecstasy pills can kill cancerous cells found in leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.  Scientists are still saying they are far away from an actual cure, but this revelation is very good for their research.

Ecstasy is known to kill some cancer cells, but scientists have increased its effectiveness 100-fold, they said in Investigational New Drugs journal.  Their early study showed all leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma cells could be killed in a test tube, but any treatment would be a decade away.  A charity said the findings were a “significant step forward”.

In 2006, a research team at the University of Birmingham showed that ecstasy and anti-depressants such as Prozac had the potential to stop cancers growing.  The problem was that it needed doses so high they would have been fatal if given to people.

50 Cent May Face SEC Investigation Over Stock Tips!

Rap mogul 50 Cent may find himself the subject of a Security Exchange Commission (SEC) investigation over stock tips he gave out on Twitter.

50 made $8.7 million on Monday reportedly thanks to some tweets that he sent out to his 3.8 million followers, encouraging them to by stock in H&H imports, a company in which he has a stake. H&H Imports owns TV Goods—the company that owns the marketing rights to the Queens rapper’s Sleek by 50 Cent headphones.

The G-Unit CEO, who owns 30 million shares in H&H, reportedly helped pop the shares of the penny stock of H&H Imports, from .10 cents to .39 cents a share, earning himself  $8.7 million in the process, according to the New York Post.

“There are very strict guidelines as to what a person can do in terms of possibly manipulating the value of a stock,” financial expert and 60-Minute Money Workout author Ellie Kay told FOX411. “I don’t think it would be a huge surprise to anyone if 50 Cent were investigated for what he did.”

According to an SEC rep, “we can neither confirm nor deny” an investigation into the Queens rapper’s stock tactics is taking place.

50 Cent has remained quiet on the situation, but the tweets in question have been removed and replaced with this:

“HNHI is the right investment for me it may or may not be right for u! Do ur homework.”

“I own HNHI stock thoughts on it are my opinion. Talk To YOUR  Financial Advisor About It.”

Two Judges In The C-Murder Case Under Investigation!

https://i0.wp.com/news.sky.com/sky-news/content/StaticFile/jpg/2009/Aug/Week2/15359127.jpg

Two judges who presided over New Orleans rapper C-Murder’s trial for the 2002 murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas, are now under investigation.

According to published reports, Judge Martha Sassone and Judge Ellen Kovach are being investigated by a secret panel after the office received a credible complaint against one of the judges who presided over the controversial case.

Although Sassone was the convicting judge in the case, Kovach is being investigated for her alleged ties to the rapper and for her use of the ruling in the case to gain political favor.

Sassone was running for re-election to the 24th Judicial District Court against Ellen Kovach, when Kovach attacked Sassone’s rulings in regards to the C-Murder case in her campaign advertisements during her bid to be re-elected in 2008.

Although Kovach won, an ethics committee ruled that her campaign crossed ethical lines for using the C-Murder case as propaganda to be elected.

In 2003, C-Murder was convicted of shooting and killing 16-year-old Steve Thomas during a dispute at a nightclub.

The decision was overturned by the Louisiana Supreme Court, when it was learned the prosecutors expunged the criminal backgrounds of various witnesses in an attempt to strengthen their credibility on the stand.

At the re-trial in 2009, C-Murder was again convicted of the shooting, but controversy broke out when juror Mary Jacob claimed that she voted to convict the rapper after being pressed by a fellow juror.

“After she just kept harassing me, I decided, the judge don’t want to listen to me, doesn’t want to listen to us? I told them, ‘You want him to be guilty? He’s guilty, now let’s get the hell out of here,” Jacob said.

C-Murder, who is serving a mandatory life sentence, is currently planning an appeal of the latest ruling on the grounds that the juror in question was forced to convict him and that Kovach’s advertisements also prevented him from receiving a fair trial.
