Bad news for NBA fans, tonight after much speculation league commissioner David Stern announced he was cancelling the first two weeks of the season and doubts a full 82 game season will be played this year. Players Union executive director Billy Hunter estimated the players losses at $350 million per month the season is locked out and that doesn’t include the effect on the thousands of stadium staff, security etc.
At the heart of the lock out is the players desire to get 53% of revenues while owners would like them to have 47% according to Stern.
