DMX was arrested on Wednesday by Department of Public Safety officers on the U.S. 60 westbound at Power Road.
The 40-year-old whose real name is Earl Simmons, was caught on radar at 102 miles per hour in a Chrysler 300. There was another vehicle following him and both were stopped.
A check showed Simmons’ license was revoked.
He was cited for criminal speed, driving on a suspended and revoked license and reckless driving.
According to reports, X was released from Yuma Prison this morning after serving seven months of a one-year sentence for violating his probation.
The 40-year-old rapper was sentenced to one year in prison on December 16, 2010 for violating his probation, which stemmed from an assault conviction, by failing to take a drug test and driving on a suspended license.
X was originally scheduled to be released on July 1st, but a number of issues while in prison—including disorderly conduct, disrespect towards the staff, possession of drugs and unauthorized smoking and other charges—caused his incarceration to be extended.
Hopefully he’ll stay out of trouble and jail this time.
DMX was given an original July 6 release date but had his prison stay extended by one week to July 13.
Now however Arizona officials have charged him with drug possession, failing and refusing a drug test and smoking during his incarceration.
He is scheduled to remain behind bars for at least another week.
Earl “DMX” Simmons is serving a year-long sentence for violating probation that began back on December 16th. X will be released early on July 1st under supervised watch until August 12th.
The judge ruled that Simmons possibly suffered from bi-polar disorder and was admitted into the Flamenco Mental Health Unit at the facility.
The multi-platinum rapper was arrested in Arizona in 2010 for his 13th incarceration. Hopefully DMX can keep himself out of the penitentiary this time. His maximum prison sentence ends on August 25th.
File this under ‘probably not a good idea’. A proposal to allow students to carry guns on community colleges and universities has been passed by lawmakers in the Arizona Legislature which now puts it in the hands of the governor Jan Brewer. Bad news in for the holidays for rapper DMX – who was ordered to return to an Arizona jail for one year due to charges stemming from his arrest on November 18th for violating his probation. X will have to report to the infamous Tent City Jail in Arizona to serve his time. He has already gone on record saying that he dislikes it because of how they treat inmates. THIS REALLY SUCKS MAN!
A former beauty pageant queen is behind bars today after authorities say she orchestrated the kidnapping and torture of her ex-boyfriend.
28-year-old Kumari Fulbright, a former Miss Arizona beauty pageant contest, has been sentenced to two years in jail and six years probation.
According to the Associated Press, Fulbright’s ex told police he’d been held captive for eight hours, robbed and tortured.
The beauty queen who was named Arizona’s ‘Miss Pima County’ and ‘Miss Desert Sun’ pled guilty last year to aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit kidnapping as part of a plea agreement.
