A settlement has apparently been reached in the ongoing sexual misconduct lawsuits against Bishop Eddie Long.
The New Birth Missionary Baptist Church head was accused by four men of sexual misconduct and was thought to be heading to trial later this year.
Now according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution “all matters have been resolved” and the plaintiffs will not seek trial against him.
The AJC reports that Barbara Marschalk, who represents New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and LongFellows Youth Academy, said she anticipates ” the lawsuits will be dismissed, with prejudice, by close of business tomorrow.”
The attorney for the four men B.J. Bernstein, also confirmed that the lawsuits had been settled.
Bernstein’s office made sure to add that neither she nor the plaintiffs would be available for an interview “on this matter, now or in the future.”
No word on what settlement was reached.

Things at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church may have faced adversity, but one woman claims that the church made her life hell for over 78 days.
According to Dekalb County News, Arettonette Ingram has filed a lawsuit, after she says she was arrested on terroristic threat charges.
Ingram claims that a New Birth youth ministry counselor relayed false statements to police about a phone conversation they had subsequently resulting in her arrest.
Authorities accused Ingram of threatening to kill herself and her two children, after threatening to “blow up” U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson’s office.
Ingram told local news stations that she “never said anything threatening or derogatory” and was unsure why she was jailed on the false charges. Although unclear, Ingram spent almost 3 months in jail before the case was dismissed and now she wants justice.
“I was allowed to fall through the legal system’s cracks,” Ingram told reporters.
Although Ingram claims that the incident was unmerited, New Birth claims that its employees had nothing to do with Ingram’s arrest or incarceration.
Ingram is seeking a total of $78 million in damages from the incident-$1 million for each day she served.
DeKalb County jail records show she was arrested May 21, 2008, and released Aug. 6, 2008.
Bishop Eddie Long has agreed to settle out of court with the four men that accused of him of sexual coercion.
The New Birth Missionary Baptist church leader was named as a defendant in four separate lawsuits by men who claimed he lavished them with money and gifts and coerced them into having sexual relations.
Now months after the scandal unfolded, the Bishop is said to be preparing to settle with his accusers outside of court therefore avoiding a highly publicized trial.
The Bishop and his accusers will have a closed-door mediation and the final settlements will likely be kept secret.
Long previously denied the sexual coercion charges and compared himself to David of the biblical tale “David And Goliath” saying that he had “more stones to throw” and would fight.
Being in the music industry is a stressful job, especially for Hip-Hop artist Bow Wow, who has been involved since he was just a child.
Recently Bow Wow took to twitter to rant about the struggle he has faced, and why if he had the option, he would go back to living a regular life.
“I sacrificed my life for this Hip Hop shit. I put my “REAL” life on hold. If i could do it over…. I wudda went to school. Got me a reg job.”
Bow Wow continues his rant and claims sometimes that he wishes he could take his life:
“I swear i be wishing i was dead sometimes. Because i feel like that’s the only way ill get peace. People don’t know me man. Yall don’t … start looking at Shad. Not Bow wow. Fuck Bow. I go through shit daily. I’m Just like yall”
Although it is not certain why Bow Wow has gone on this rant, we have to think that the Raz B’s allegations of an alleged sexual relationship between Bow and Lil Fiz doesn’t help Bow’s problems.
Do you think this is just a rant for Bow, or should someone really talk to him?
